"Random Kindness was founded in 1994 by Lonnie and Julie Gieber to work with local communities to alleviate suffering, the effects of social injustice and economic disadvantages through promotion of programs and activities that help provide skills, financial assistance, emotional support and personal empowerment.
Random Kindness is entirely volunteer run with a Board of Directors and general membership participation. One of the hallmarks of Random Kindness is the strict adherence of preserving the anonymity of contributors and coalescing community response to any of the conditions mentioned above."
Random Kindness is a volunteer run organization which organizes and conducts activities which encourage ordinary people in its community to do more to help others who are in need, and to be involved in acts of kindness and compassion. Random Kindness works to help mobilize community concern and support for people who are in any way economically disadvantaged.
Random Kindness helps focus local resources for the community to enable "good Samaritans" to more effectively assist those in need, that they are aware of, by providing the framework to enhance contributions and opportunities for volunteer services.
Random Kindness assists in other community charitable projects by working to recruit community members and help them connect with social service projects, organizations and agencies which need volunteers.
